Laser hair removal is an effective method of long-term hair reduction using light pulses that destroy the hair follicle. Results are noticeable after 2–3 sessions, and a full course delivers an 80–90% permanent reduction in regrowth. We select the right device individually - for every skin type and hair colour.
How the procedure works
1 Consultation
At the first visit, a specialist assesses your skin and hair type, selects the optimal device and settings. The consultation is free and non-committal.
2 Preparation
Shave the area 12–24 hours before your session. Avoid tanning and self-tanner for 4 weeks before and after. Skin should be clean - no creams or deodorant.
3 The session
Treatment takes 10–60 minutes depending on the area. You'll feel mild warmth or a slight sting. The Deka Motus AX with MOVEO technology makes laser hair removal virtually painless.
4 After the procedure
Mild redness may appear and typically fades within a few hours. Protect the area from sun and apply moisturiser. The next session is scheduled 4–8 weeks later.
Who is laser hair removal for
Skin and hair type
Laser is most effective on dark hair with light or tanned skin. The Deka Motus AX is safe for tanned skin. For light, red, or grey hair we recommend electrolysis - a specialist will advise at your consultation.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, active tan on the treatment area, open wounds or skin inflammation, and certain systemic conditions. We'll discuss the full list at a free consultation - the specialist will assess individually.
How many sessions are needed
A standard course is 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart (depending on area and hair type). Hair becomes noticeably thinner after just 2–3 treatments. For lasting results, we recommend 1–2 maintenance sessions per year.

Is the procedure painful?
Sensations depend on the area and device. Modern lasers have cooling systems, so most clients describe it as a light tingling or warmth. The Deka Motus AX with MOVEO technology works almost pain-free even on sensitive areas.
How many sessions are needed?
On average 6–8 sessions for lasting results. Hair grows in cycles - laser only acts on hair in the active growth phase, so repeat sessions are necessary. The exact number depends on the area, hair type and skin type.
Can it be done on tanned skin?
It depends on the device. Most lasers are not recommended on freshly tanned skin. The Deka Motus AX, with the right settings, can work on olive or tanned skin. Best to discuss your skin condition at a consultation.
How should I prepare for the session?
Avoid removing hair by the root (waxing, tweezers, epilator) 2–4 weeks before the session - the laser needs the follicle. Shaving is fine. Avoid tanning and self-tanner before the session. // TODO: confirm with salon protocol
How is electrolysis different from laser?
Laser works through hair pigment and is effective on dark hair. Electrolysis destroys the follicle with a micro-current through a thin needle and works regardless of hair colour - slower, but universal.
Who is electrolysis best suited for?
Primarily for light, red, grey and vellus hair that laser barely affects. Also for precisely removing individual stray hairs. The only method officially recognised as permanently removing hair.
Is it permanent?
Yes, it is considered a permanent removal method - a destroyed follicle does not regrow. A course of sessions is needed since each hair is treated individually, but the result is lasting.
